Not the most flattering photo, I know, but I had one thing on my mind....I was going to let go and SWIM today! I had to miss my lesson for week #2 because of Parent/Teacher conferences so I had some ground to make up during my lessons for weeks 3 and 4. I won't bore you with the details, but I did some kicking with the kickboard and made it down to the deep end and back about 4 or 5 times. I've found that I get tired really easily and perhaps need to step it up on my cardio during the week. We used these barbell looking things to practice our stroke and I wanted to try without it. My daughter, Reagan (age 8), was with me so I had her take my phone and record a short video. At that point, I decided to try without the barbell and, well, just watch..... |
So I've set 3 goals for myself to accomplish within the last four weeks of swim lessons.
- Learn to tread water.
- Swim one complete lap.
- Dive in the deep end and swim to the shallow end.
