In a previous post, I mentioned that I do not do well and cannot sustain a regimen when it warrants a complete overhaul of my life so I'm starting small with Jillian Michaels 30-day shred.

As your own personal trainer, Jillian will guide you through her exclusive 3-2-1 Interval System that combines strength, cardio and abs to burn calories for a dramatic 30 DAY SHRED. The program includes three complete 20-minute workouts which progress by level of intensity. I started with Level 1 yesterday and plan to advance to Level 2 after the first 10 days. Today marked Day 2 of Level 1 and I feel pretty good.
I had the toughest time pressing play on Day 1, mostly because I have this fear of failure that I need to get past. I swear, I must have paused it 5 times within the first 5 minutes. But I did sit down, pray, hype myself up, got back up, pressed play and pushed through. It's not too difficult of a workout and it only lasts 20 minutes which is great! The only equipment needed is a mat and a set of hand weights. I used my 5 and 8 lb weights for various parts of the workout. It was much easier to get going on Day 2 and I suspect tomorrow will be even easier despite the fact that I'll be doing it at 5:15 am before work....EEK! |
I'll workout 6 days a week reserving Thursdays for my swim class. We'll see how it goes. So far so good. I feel pretty good and I'm looking forward to reporting some fantastic results. I really feel like this is a sustainable start to my lifestyle change. Has anyone else used the 30 Day Shred? How did it work for you? |
